- The Seahawks began Week Two
of their 2004 Training Camp with 7-on-7 drills in the morning. The afternoon practice
was for special teams only.
- QB Brock Huard’s
back injury, which he suffered last Wednesday, could lead Seneca Wallace to
the inside track for the 3rd quarterback spot. Observers saw Wallace hit Jason Willis on a deep route and Marques Davis in traffic today. Early reports indicate
that Wallace is far more mature and poised in his second year - attributes he’s
adding to his speed and elusiveness.
- WR Koren Robinson continued
the process of building himself back in to playing shape as he recovers from
a hip injury. Robinson bagged several balls in Monday Morning’s practice.
His return to form will be a key to the Seahawks’ offensive success in
2004.
- Perhaps the most important
team news was that first-round draft pick Marcus Tubbs has agreed in principle
to a contract. Tubbs, who had been in Texas caring for his mother, now appears
ready to bang it up in the Cheney heat.
