Despite being one of the most famous athletes, or people, from Northern Kentucky, Alexander hasn't forgotten his roots.
The 6-foot-1-inch Alexander still makes regular trips back to Northern Kentucky to visit family and friends. He is active in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, speaking to FCA groups in the area and around the country. He also visits R.A. Jones and Boone County High School each spring to speak to students and visit his former teachers and coaches.
That is the type of person he is," Thompson said. "That is why they love him down there (at Alabama) so much; except for some Auburn fans. He is about as fine a person as you will ever find.
