Marcus Tubbs: The Numbers Don't Lie

How many first round picks are legitimately underrated? I am not talking about the kind of underrated where only the hometown fans appreciate a player (See Engram, Bobby), I'm talking so underrated that even after a very productive year, your own fans still say you need to improve to justify your draft status.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I present Marcus Tubbs. The 2004 first-round pick out of Texas finished his 2005-2006 season playing in twelve games, during which he registered 40 tackles, 5.5 sacks, and 2 forced fumbles. If you yawned at those numbers, you're not alone. They are hardly awe-inspiring, and I won't be picking up Tubbs in any fantasy football leagues. But stats don't tell the whole picture...
