Seahawks Agree to Terms With Herring

Auburn LB Will Herring, Seattle's 2007 fifth-round pick (161st overall), has agreed to terms with the Seahawks on his rookie contract. Herring joins fourth-round guard Mansfield Wrotto as the team's two official rookie signings at this time.

The deal is for four years, and Scout.com's Adam Caplan tells us that Herring will receive minimum base salaries of $285,000, $370,000, $460,000, and $550,000 He'll also receive a signing bonus of approximately $163,000. At 6'2" and 229 pounds, Herring would seem to be an unknown as far as position. He could (and most likely will) play special teams, he could bulk up, or he could wind up...
