Seahawks Waive 21, Put Tubbs on IR

And so it is down to 53. The Seahawks met the deadline to pare their roster down from 75 to 53 players by releasing 21 players, and placing defensive tackle Marcus Tubbs on injured reserve. The team also traded safety Michael Boulware to the Texans for defensive end Jason Babin.

The Seahawks, like all other NFL teams, can name up to eight players to their practice squad beginning tomorrow, September 2.
