The Seattle Seahawks received some good news on Tuesday as head coach Mike Holmgren, who had been pondering his future with the club, told the team that he intends to return for his 10th season with Seattle. A news conference is scheduled later this afternoon where he will make his thoughts known.

Over the weekend, Holmgren and his wife Kathy, along with the rest of his family, spent time in Arizona contemplating his return to the Northwest and when he arrived at team headquarters Tuesday morning he revealed the news to his staff and the front office.

Holmgren's 170-110 record ranks 10th behind Joe Gibbs in NFL history and and during his nine seasons in Seattle the Seahawks have had unprecedented success going 86-68, with four NFC West Crowns, one AFC West title and a berth in the Super Bowl.
