The Seattle Seahawks are reportedly set to hire Casey "Gus" Bradley to be their new defensive coordinator.

According to an NFL Network report, the Seattle Seahawks will hire Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebackers coach Casey "Gus" Bradley to be their new defensive coordinator.

Bradley, 42, had been the Buccaneers linebackers coach for the last two seasons, after joining the Tampa Bay staff in 2006 as a defensive quality control coach. Prior to that, Bradley spent 10 years as an assistant at North Dakota State University, Bradley's alma mater.

Bradley replaces John Marshall, Seattle's defensive coordinator since 2006. In Marshall's three seasons as coordinator, the Seahawks ranked 19th (2006), 15th (2007) and 30th (2008) in total defense.

Marshall was not expected to remain the team's defensive coordinator after new head coach Jim Mora took over for Mike Holmgren, a process that officially got underway earlier this week.

Just three years into his NFL coaching career, Bradley doesn't have much experience. However, Mora is expected to play a large role in the defensive game-planning, including calling the defensive plays during games.
