Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post reports that the Seattle Seahawks have re-signed veteran linebacker D.D. Lewis.
Per Wilson, it's a one-year contract.
Lewis, 30, entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Seahawks in 2002. A core member of Seattle's special teams, Lewis started 18 games over his first five seasons with the 'Hawks before signing with the Denver Broncos as a free agent in 2007. Lewis re-joined the Seahawks in 2008 and was elected a special teams captain. He made two starts for an injured Leroy Hill last season, finishing the season with 45 tackles.
Re-signed to a one-year contract in March, Lewis was among the team's final cuts at the end of training camp.
No official announcement has been made by the club, therefore no corresponding transaction involving the 53-man roster is known at this time.
