This week's Power Rankings asks the following questions: How far are the Colts above the Patriots now, how far have the Seahawks fallen, and do the Browns have the worst offense we've ever seen?

Team Commentary
1
1
NEW ORLEANS SAINTS New Orleans is finally winning tough road games, which is why they are 9-0 for the first time ever.
2
2
INDIANAPOLIS COLTS So much was made of The Call that people are overlooking the fact that Peyton Manning drove his team to 3 touchdowns in fourth quarter to win.  That's the bigger story, in my opinion.
3
5
CINCINNATI BENGALS The Bengals own the AFC North, and are solid in all facets of their game.  Note to Wendy's:  how have you not signed Frostee Rucker to an endorsement deal yet?
4
6
MINNESOTA VIKINGS Minnesota changed things up last week and started slow and finished strong, a much more preferable way of doing things.  The Vikings are firing on all cylinders.
5
3
NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS I loved Belicheck's call even though it cost the Pats the game.
6
7
SAN DIEGO CHARGERS The Chargers appear to be back in the driver seat after winning four in a row.
7
4
PITTSBURGH STEELERS Pittsburgh no longer controls their own destiny in the division, but the silver lining is that they've won a Super Bowl as a Wildcard before.
8
10
ARIZONA CARDINALS Arizona only needs to get hot at the end of December to make some postseason hay.  There certainly isn't anyone in the NFC West who's going to challenge them.
9
8
ATLANTA FALCONS The Falcons are reeling after losing 3 of their last 4 games and, more importantly, after losing Michael Turner to injury.
10
9
DALLAS COWBOYS The Cowboys came out flat and never recovered against the Packers last week.  They'll rebound enough to look legit before falling apart in December.
11
13
BALTIMORE RAVENS Baltimore looked totally lost against the moribund Browns on Monday night.  I have a hard time imagining they're going to win too many games with effort like that.
12
14
MIAMI DOLPHINS The Fins always manage to make it interesting.  Last weekend they were finally on the winning side of interesting.
13
11
PHILADELPHIA EAGLES The Eagles red-zone offense was atrocious.  Perhaps if they got a bit more practice running the ball …
14
12
DENVER BRONCOS Denver's defense fell apart in the final quarter against the Redskins, sending the Broncos to their third straight loss.
15
15
NEW YORK GIANTS A great bye week for the Giants, as both the Cowboys and Eagles lost.
16
16
HOUSTON TEXANS The Texans return from the bye to face a resurgent Titans on Monday night.  This game is the key to Houston's season - are they still the inconsistent Texans of old, or have the turned the corner?
17
17
TENNESSEE TITANS The Titans were dead and gone 4 weeks ago, suddenly they are team that no one wants to play.
18
18
JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS Jacksonville is good enough to beat the Jets but gets blown out by Seattle?  Who can figure this team out?
19
20
GREEN BAY PACKERS Green Bay proved they're good enough to win some tough ball games, but I'm not convinced the O-line will be able to keep Aaron Rodgers upright enough to make a run at the postseason.
20
22
SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS The 49ers are firmly entrenched in 2nd place in the NFC West, which is to say they're almost completely out of the playoff picture.
21
19
NEW YORK JETS For all the talk of how good the Jets defense is, they've been coming up short in big spots all season long.
22
24
CAROLINA PANTHERS Carolina is calling games more conservatively and winning.
23
21
CHICAGO BEARS Jay Cutler has been horrifically bad away from Soldier Field, tossing 15 INT's in his 5 road games so far.
24
23
BUFFALO BILLS Jarius Byrd picked off a pass in his 5th consecutive game but, alas, the rest of his team failed to show up.  Dick Jauron becomes the first coaching casualty of the 2009 season.
25
25
SEATTLE SEAHAWKS The Seahawks are not a complete team.  They aren't the worst in the league by far, but they can be had by any team with a halfway decent offense.
26
26
KANSAS CITY CHIEFS I'm not quite sure how a team that went 1-15 on third down conversions won a game .. Oh wait, they played the Raiders … that explains it.
27
31
WASHINGTON REDSKINS The Redskins were lucky enough to play a team that has struggled more on offense then they have and squeaked out another victory last Sunday.
28
27
TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS Josh Freeman looked pretty good under center.  Unfortunately for him, the Bucs committed penalties at the most inopportune moments.  Bad teams find ways to lose, I guess.
29
28
ST. LOUIS RAMS The Rams gave it their all against the undefeated Saints last Sunday, but it just wasn't enough.  St. Louis is currently on a 0-9 home schnide.
30
30
DETROIT LIONS Detroit is taking their lumps this year with a rookie QB, but the 2009 model is still a significant improvement.
31
29
OAKLAND RAIDERS When your quarterback is Jamarcus Russell, you cannot afford drops.
32
32
CLEVELAND BROWNS Cleveland's offense is so God-awful that they are a shoo-in to finish the season as the worst in NFL history.
