Seahawks Tender Four RFAs

Seahawks Tender Four RFAs

The Seattle Seahawks placed "original round" tenders on four restricted free agents on Thursday, including former first-round pick, Chris Spencer.

The Seattle Seahawks announced that they have placed the "Original Round" restricted free agent tender on center Chris Spencer, guard Rob Sims, defensive end Darryl Tapp, and wide receiver Ben Obomanu.

Restricted free agents Brandon Frye and linebacker Lance Laury were not tendered, and both will be unrestricted free agents when the 2010 League Year begins at 9:01am PT.

Each of the players tendered today will be able to negotiate with other NFL teams, but by extending qualifying offers, the Seahawks have retained the right to match any offer sheet they sign with another club. If the Seahawks decline to match the offer sheet, the player's new team will be required to compensate the Seahawks with a draft choice from the round the player was originally selected in.

Here's a glance at each player's draft choice compensation level (Comp) and what their base salary will be if they play the 2010 season under the one-year tender.
