The Seattle Seahawks have agreed to terms with seventh-round TE/WR Jameson Konz

Danny O'Neil of the Seattle Times reports the Seattle Seahawks have agreed to terms with seventh-round draft choice Jameson Konz.

Terms were not disclosed, but Konz likely signed a four-year deal worth around $1.83 million dollars. Once signed, Seattle will need to release a player to fit Konz on the team's 80-man roster.

Chosen with the 245th overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft, Konz (6-3, 234) played linebacker during his first three seasons at Kent State before converting to his current position in 2008. Konz caught two passes in his first game at tight end, but suffered a season-ending ankle injury, and was redshirted for the 2009 season.

Konz caught 21 passes for 298 yards and two touchdowns in 12 starts for the Golden Flashes last season.

A tremendous athlete, Konz ran the 40-yard dash in 4.41 seconds, posted a 10’08” broad jump, and an otherworldly 46” vertical leap at his Pro Day on March 11.

After indicating that he’d play wide receiver, the Seahawks have worked Konz at tight end during the “Organized Team Activity” sessions and mini-camp.
