Tim Tebow leads #1 Florida
Chris Monter of GoldenSports.net, Nov 19, 2009
There are still six unbeaten teams remaining. This poll is more geared for determining a national champ, so the teams with one or two losses will have to work their way back into the mix.   Full Story

Sure, it was a "team loss', but The Bootleg would like a better explanation as to why we chose to throw the ball rather that feed relentless All-American Toby Gerhart, who in all likelihood would have scored his fifth rushing touchdown and provided the Cardinal with a stirring comeback win in the 112th Big Game. Count us among those who don't undertsand...   Full Story

Why not Toby?

It's a theme with this team it seems. A North Division title is nice. The fact that it was the last home game for 13 of these players. Yeah, that's sentimental, too. But this is a step, and there is still a bit more of the regular season to go. The all-business mentality has taken hold of players like senior center Jacob Hickman. Enough looking back. They are looking ahead to the next game.   Full Story

THE DEFENSE TURNED in a solid performance giving up just 192 yards while holding the Cougs to just 3 of 14 on third down conversions. Plus, Keo Camat grabs his first sack as a Beaver and the prognosis on Brennan Olander doesn't look good.   Full Story

Leave it to Nebraska's most dominant player to think of clinching the Big 12 North as just another step in the right direction. That's how it is for senior Ndamukong Suh. As much as he has done thus far, for him this is still far from icing on the cake. There is a lot more work to do.   Full Story

Rutgers senior middle linebacker Ryan D'Imperio had a game-high 14 tackles, including 10 solo, so perhaps he is best suited to talk about why the Scarlet Knights had so much trouble in the first half in the 31-13 loss to Syracuse. D'Imperio, in short, discusses whether the Scarlet Knights were prepared for the Orange's offensive approach.   Full Story

Rutgers offense was overwhelmed in Saturday's 31-13 loss at Syracuse, and there were plenty of reasons why. Scarlet Knights center Ryan Blaszczyk talked about the problems, and said "I feel like we weren't as prepared as we should have been" in discussing the loss. The Scarlet Knights offense mustered 130 yards of offense, and yielded nine sacks.   Full Story

Mississippi State will still go bowling, after a fashion. “We’ll play the Egg Bowl,” said Coach Dan Mullen. “That’s a bowl game.” All true. But the other fact remains that these Bulldogs will still spend the holiday break at home, after Arkansas ended hopes of a post-season berth 42-21 at War Memorial Stadium. The Razorbacks improved to 7-4, 3-4 SEC, while State left Little Rock 4-7, 2-5.   Full Story

Every Cardinal player parent was pigskin-proud this past week as the Cardinal absolutely aced its semi-final exams in Los Angeles last weekend while dismantling "that think tank on Figueroa". No grade inflation here whatsoever - Dave Fowkes tells it like it is after one of the historic wins in school history. Now we need to maintain that superb GPA against California in the Big Game.
