2004: On March 11, 2005, The Seahawks signed former Cleveland Browns linebacker Kevin Bentley to a one-year, $650,000 contract. Bentley racked up 51 tackles in 2004 (38 solo) in 14 games for the Browns. He is known as a ‘backer with outstanding speed, who is better in coverage than he is mixing it up inside.
2003: Earned the starting strongside linebacker position in training camp and played in all 16 regular season games, including 14 starts. Bentley ranked third on Cleveland’s defense with 113 tackles, including 62 solo, as well as one interception.
2002: In his rookie season with the Browns, Bentley appeared in 12 games at weakside linebacker with 28 tackles, including 20 solo, 1 TFL and also posted 9 special teams tackles despite missing four games with a broken hand. Bentley was a key contributor on special teams as his 9 special teams tackles ranked 7th on the club and he added 1 blocked punt.
