How Acquired: Cooley was a third round selection (81st overall) by the Redskins in the 2004 NFL Draft.
Career Stats:

2006: Cooley led the Redskins in receptions with 57 for 734 yards. He also tied for a team-high six touchdown catches. For his efforts, he was named a third alternate to the Pro Bowl.
2005: Cooley established himself as one of the league's up-and-coming tight ends/H-backs with career highs in receptions (71), yards (774) and TD receptions (seven). He broke a Redskins franchise record for receptions by a tight end with 71 catches.
2004: Cooley played in all 16 games and started nine. He caught 37 passes for 314 yards, an 8.5 yards-per-catch average, and six touchdowns.
College: Cooley was an All-American second-team selection by the NFL Draft Report, adding honorable mention honors from Sports Illustrated. He was also a first-team All-Sun Belt Conference choice.
He was a finalist for the Mackey Award, given to the nation's top tight end. He was team captain and was also voted Offensive MVP. He led the nation's tight ends in receptions and yards when he snagged a career-high 62 passes for 732 yards and six touchdowns. |
