Biography:
2006: Turned in another outstanding season, starting all 12 games and making 59 tackles with four interceptions ... awarded second team All-Big Ten laurels for his efforts ... finished third on the team in tackles and second in interceptions ... closed the year with 10 career picks, tying him for fifth all-time on that list ... had an outstanding day against Connecticut, making two interceptions and blocking a field goal ... also returned 12 punts on the season, including an 86-yard touchdown against Western Michigan.

2005: Played in all 11 games and continued to wreak havoc patrolling the defensive backfield with three interceptions for 108 yards ... broke up six passes and forced a fumble ... tallied 48 tackles, with 42 solo takedowns ... also posted a career-high seven tackles in three contests (Wisconsin, Ohio State and Purdue).

2004: Burst onto the scene as one of only two true freshmen (Leslie Majors was the other) to play for the Hoosiers in 2004 ... garnered a spot on the Sporting News 2004 Big Ten All-Freshman Team after finishing first on the team with three interceptions and third on the squad with six pass breakups ... started the first seven games of the year before a shoulder injury sidelined him for the final four contests ... in his first collegiate game against Central Michigan, Porter had four pass breakups, two interceptions and a solo tackle ... returned his second career interception 96 yards for a touchdown, the third-longest interception return for touchdown in the history of IU ... had five solo tackles and a pass breakup at Kentucky ... registered five tackles, two pass breakups and his third interception of the season a game later against Michigan State.

High School: Earned first team All-District 3A honors as a senior and second team laurels as a junior at Port Allen High School ... played quarterback, running back and wide receiver on offense and recorded 93 tackles, 11 interceptions (two returned for touchdowns) and 14 pass breakups as a senior ... returned two punts and two kickoffs each for touchdowns, averaging 47.0 yards per kick return and 28.0 per punt return ... Porter, who only played two years of organized football before coming to Indiana, also started at point guard for the basketball team.
