Biography:
Pro
2009 outlook: Harris, who turns 35 in December, saw his career thrown into jeopardy when he suffered an injured spleen against Dallas that snapped his streak of 175 consecutive games. Rather than face retirement, Harris missed only four games and was back on the field as a starter against Tennessee after the bye week. Harris’ play and guts earned the attention of his peers. He was voted a Pro Bowl alternate and wound up replacing Charles Woodson. In his first game back, he helped smother Tennessee’s receivers. Then he shut out the Vikings’ Bernard Berrian after the speedster had posted 100-yard games in three of his last four games. He finished the season without an interception for the first time since 2000 but broke up 12 passes.

2007: Had his roughest outings in the team’s two biggest games – at Dallas in late November and in the NFC Championship Game against the New York Giants. Was beaten repeatedly by the Cowboys’ Terrell Owens and the Giants’ Plaxico Burress.

Take away those two games, however, and Harris performed at a Pro Bowl level worthy of being named to his first all-star game in Hawaii. ... Started in all 18 of Green Bay’s games. He had 37 tackles (34 solo), two interceptions and nine passes defensed in the regular season. ... Agreed to two-year contract extension Feb. 13. ... Will receive $4 million in new money, paid in weekly bonuses on top of the $2.7 million he’s owed for 2007, $2.85 million for 2008 and $3 million for 2009.

2006: Finished with three interceptions, which probably hurt him in Pro Bowl voting, but he had chances for at least three other pickoffs. ... Had 38 tackles and 20 passes defensed, second to Charles Woodson. ... Has yet to miss an NFL game as a game-day active NFL player since 1998, a streak of 153 games, including the playoffs. ... Flagged nine times, most on the team, including six for holding, while defending opponents' top receivers. ... Named as Pro Bowl alternate.

2005: Continued to cover opponents' top receiver for the second straight season. ... Led the team with 18 passes defensed and three interceptions. Was ninth with 53 tackles. ... Returned one interception 22 yards for a touchdown in a blowout win over New Orleans on Oct. 9. Moved inside to cover opponents' slot receiver for the first time in his career. ... Had six total penalties, slicing his total in half from 2004.

2004: Finished second season as the starter at right cornerback. ... Selected as an alternate to the Pro Bowl. Signed a five-year, $19 million (including $7 million in bonuses) contract extension with the Packers on Sept. 11. ... Had team-high 28 for the season, surpassing the single-season record held by Doug Evans (27, 1995). Led the team in passes defensed with 28, including 1 INT, in addition to making 67 tackles (62 solo). Started all 16 games.

2003: Started all 16 games in 2003 at right cornerback after he was acquired by Packers in a February trade with the Philadelphia Eagles. ... Started in place of departed CB Tyrone Williams (Atlanta). ... Has not missed one game over his six-year NFL career and carries an 96-game playing streak into the 2004 season (105 including the postseason). ... Finished with three interceptions in the regular season, and one in the playoffs, a 52-yard return for a touchdown in overtime that gave the Packers a wild card win over Seattle at Lambeau Field. ... Was ninth on the team in tackles with 46 and had one forced
